Dune of Pilat: Europe’s tallest sand dune
Roue Libre Aquitaine will make you discover an immense pine forest and the tallest sand dune in Europe, an immense green lung that will fill your nostrils with the sweet smell of pine resin.
Then you will discover the Bassin, a real inland sea that lives at the rhythm of the tides. You will meet oyster farmers and discover the long journey of an oyster, from its birth to its arrival in your plate.
Finally, you will contemplate the dune which culminates at 117 meters of altitude. To reach its summit, you will have to climb 170 steps and then you will enjoy a breathtaking view.
