Armagnac: the patience flame

armagnac0108.30: Departure from Bordeaux for a gastronomic and cultural trip in the heart of the “Bas Armagnac” area.

La Bastide Armagnac, a medieval village perfectly well preserved.
The Domaine d’Ognoas, a winery where you will be told to taste directly from the cask a brandy distillated in one of the oldest European alembic -1804 – and served on the most renowned French tables.

armagnac02For lunch, we suggest a lunch in “La Ferme aux Grives”. A historical inn for unforgettable rural banquets, owned by the Chef Michel Guérard 3* in the Michelin guide for over 30 years.

But this epicurean is also fond of wines and products since 1983 a dry white wine in the Tursan Appellation: Château de Bachen. Of course we will stop for a visit and wine-tasting before to come back to Bordeaux.
